Are there Any Songs about Phil Spector?

Despite Phil Spector producing a ton of hits throughout his super successful career, there are apparently not too many songs about him. It is very hard to find songs in which he is directly referenced or named. But that being said, there are still a number of famous songs out there that were influenced by his work and life.

One of such notable songs is ROAR’s “Christmas Kids“. This song, which was released in 2010, contains lyrics that revolve around the disgraced music producer’s shocking mistreatment of his former wife, American singer Ronnie Spector. Ronnie and Phil were married from 1968 to 1974.

Spector produced some of the most iconic songs of all time such as “Let It Be” by The Beatles and “My Sweet Lord” by George Harrison.

Spector received his induction into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.

He is considered one of the greatest personalities in the entire history of recorded music.

In 2003, he was found guilty of murdering American actress Lana Clarkson and was subsequently sentenced to prison. He died at the age of 81 while in prison.
