Bieber explains to his lover that although they may be going through tough times in their relationship due to the fact that the world is watching and pressuring them to be perfect (as in the case of pop stars), they must try to remain calm and survive.

He repeatedly promises to be everything she needs as it appears that the girl he’s in love with may be facing other challenges personally. Justin wants to protect her and solidify their love like that of Jay Z and Beyonce who he mentions in the song. In the end,  he admits that despite the misunderstandings in their relationship, he loves her and prefers to stick with her than to start afresh with someone else.

“As long as you love me
We could be starving, we could be homeless, we could be broke
As long as you love me
I’ll be your platinum, I’ll be your silver, I’ll be your gold “
