“Man’s World” by MARINA

“Man’s World” is Marina Diamandis’ version of a protest song. She adopts what can be deemed as a feminist approach to analyzing the world. And basically what it boils down to is the singer being strongly under the impression that our leaders, who are overwhelmingly male, have systematically kept females down. And it is not only womenfolk who are oppressed by them but also the likes of homosexuals. Moreover Marina uses the occasion to allude how “Mother Nature”, i.e. the environment, is being destroyed by the male-centric powers that be. And summarily all of these sentiments are intended to lead us to the conclusively statement, which is the singer having grown weary of living under the rule of men.
