If you look very closely at the scene on the cover art, you’d notice it bares great resemblance to the Japanese flag. Interestingly, Joji was born in Japan. Is this a coincidence or a deliberate act by Joji to pay homage to his home country? Well, that’s another topic for another day.

Maybe it’s commentary about his home country as the article points out the imagery for; slow dancing into the darkness of oblivion with its low birth rate and overworked population, keeping the dance going without any sense of where it’s going.

Did this not address the goat legs?..did I skip it?. Is Chad in here?..

    • Silly says:

I assume that goat legs is a methaphorous representation of his « Dark » side. Since demon are often portait with goat legs and some kind of humanoid upper-body. Instead the white smoking represent the complementary bright side of his personality that has not fallen yet. + it’s perfect attire for a ballad that sound like a slow.

For anyone wanting an explanation for the goat legs: he’s a satyr in love with a human girl. Satyrs are controlled by their sex drive, but he loves her so much that he doesn’t want to turn her into an object. He’s slowly dying because he loves her, and he can’t have her because he wants to protect her from his own overwhelming libido. (courtesy of @Hugo Mudu)

One thing I don’t get is his legs in the music video

  6. Anonymous says:

His legs must be a goat because demons are always painted with goat legs and the legs mean it showing his demon side/dark side of him

  7. Anonymous says:

The legs are representative of Faun.
