“r u ok” by Tate McRae

The song “r u ok” is centered on Tate McRae addressing her ex.  And the ways she tells the story, when the two of them were together he basically treated her like crap. In fact he was the one who called off the relationship and seemed cool when, at first, her heart was broken. But since then she has fully recuperated emotionally. And in a twist of fate, now he’s the one whose feening to have her back. But in terms of the singer’s sentimental conclusion to this narrative, there’s like zero possibility of such actually transpiring.  However, she is still concerned with his emotional well-being, asking if he is okay upon being in his feelings. Or perhaps she is putting forth this query sarcastically, making fun of him in a roundabout way due to how the tables have turned.
