Justin Bieber’s “That’s What Love Is” is a love song, as in the addressee being the romantic interest of the singer. So accordingly a good percentage of its wordage is dedicated to showering her with affection. But the title and chorus of the track feature Justin actually defining “what love is”, as he has come to realize via this relationship.
And there are three main characteristics of “love” which he highlights. First is his ability to feel her presence even when she’s not around. Second is that he truly desires no other company except her own. And lastly his feelings for her have made him a humbler person.
Indeed at the end of day we can say that the intended purpose of this song is to highlight the profound and transformative effects falling in love can have on a person’s life.
