“There Goes My Miracle” finds The Boss lamenting over a lost love. Obviously he was once blessed with a significant other but “disobeyed” the “rules” contained in “the book of love”. So now he finds himself “searching for (his) love”, as in she has departed from him. And he seemingly acknowledges the chances of reclaiming her or anyone like her as being slim since he refers to her as his “miracle”.
So the title basically refers to Springsteen bearing witness to his partner “walking away”. And he takes the blame for the dissolution of this romance, alluding to the possibility that when it was active he mistreated her or the relationship in general.

No. This is by no means Aniello’s first collaboration with Springsteen. Before the birth of this song, both men had worked together several times. For example, Aniello produced Springsteen’s 2012 album Wrecking Ball. He also solely handled the production of Springsteen’s 2014 album titled High Hopes.
I think the song is about an adult child walking away from him (Springsteen). That child is his miracle. The song is set at twilight and relects a bleak phase in their relationship. He blames the child (“Look what you have done”) but segues into sharing the blame (“Look what we have done”). They have broken the rules governing relationships in the book of love. Moral of the song is don’t take love for granted. Ironically, you can definitely hear the love and longing in the repeated phrase, “There goes my miracle”.

When I first heard the song I heard “baby girl” instead of miracle and couldn’t stop thinking about my daughter getting married in a couple of weeks and walking down the isle!
Like any song it can be read and have meaning in many different ways. The first time you hear it after considering it could be about his wonderful mother slowly drifting into dementia is a game changer though. The way he spoke about it during the Broadway show, this is the only way I hear it now.
To me it sounds like a stalker/ psycho like the Green river killer who led a normal boring day ( sunrise, sundown) and then the OCD stalker lyrics of there goes my miracle walking away… creepy when the lyric turns from look what you’ve done to look what we’ve done… psycho killer.
When I first heard this song I immediately thought of our 17 year old son who was diagnosed with heart failure last fall and required a transplant. Thank god for organ & tissue donors, as well as those that donate blood. Our son is indeed our miracle and we are forever grateful to the donor’s family who made it all possible.

When I first heard this song, I immediately thought about my 16 year old son who has to under go a very difficult operation. The words bring me to the day of his operation and when he will be taken to the operating room I feel like the words their goes my mircle baby walking away and I have to wait for moonrise to see my lucky star.
Makes me think of one of his affairs. He confessed to Patti but almist list her. He is showing regret fir his sexual mistakes but still has his wife. His miracle.
